Traditional methods of constructing a building can use modular concrete sections, which need to be cured directly after manufacture before being transported to site and installed.

By adding less than 0.1% of graphene, tests have shown an increase in compressive strength by 34%, tensile strength by 27% meaning 30% lighter structures can now replace traditional ones. This means quicker curing times and therefore more production. In addition the carbon footprint to site is reduced, while providing a material with more water and corrosion resistance.

The construction industry can now look forward to a reduction in carbon footprint because of this exciting opportunity. Concrete structures will be stronger, lighter,last longer, and require less maintenance.
