Concrete flood defence walls are increasingly popular, and are often cast offsite. They are heavy to move, and lift into place. Lifespan is limited due to aggressive seawater corrosion.

By adding graphene, the concrete offers better resistance to seawater corrosion, and can be made lighter in the first instance.Often not requiring the network of reinforcement bar, which is the route cause of rapid decomposition within the overall structure by seawater corrosion.
